PROSPERITY IS NOT A SIN

A must Read....
There is nothing wrong with prosperity message but it becomes very wrong when a preacher centers his/her preaching on prosperity alone.

Below is a message that is worth reading; author unknown though edited.

Anyone that tells you that preaching prosperity to the saints in the church is a sin or that a believer working towards becoming wealthy by engaging his mind and hands and working diligently to be financially productive and fruitful is a sin is automatically an ignorant religious person. No matter his or her title in the body of Christ, such has not taken his or her time to patiently dig deep into the word of God and allow the Holy Spirit to teach him or her in order to see clearly that prosperity is the right of believers by redemption and that the poverty of believers doesn't glorify God at all.

Don't be deceived that you are only here on earth to make heaven, if that is true;  then God doesn't have any genuine reason to bring you here on earth in the first instance, He would have just left you in heaven. You are not here on earth to just make heaven, rather! you are here on earth to do great exploit that will be speaking forth of the glory of God, which will automatically attract multitudes into the kingdom of God, because testimonies and exploits are two major tools to bring multitudes into the kingdom of God and not quoting scriptures without proofs, they automatically want to see the proofs of who you are talking about in your life before they will ever follow you to your God and once you lack proofs and you are not better than them,  then they can never follow you. Even the devil knows that poverty is a disease that is not good at all and he can use it as a tool to lead believers to sin. That's why Agur prayed this prayer in Proverbs 30:8-9  "
Keep falsehood and lies far from me; give me neither poverty nor riches, but give me only my daily bread.

Otherwise, I may have too much and disown you
and say, ‘Who is the Lord? Or I may become poor and steal,
and so dishonor the name of my God".
A poor believer can bring dishonour to God. Wealth is not just about acquiring physical wealth alone but being a blessing to lives by fulfilling divine purpose and having enough to meet needs as well. Though Agur was selfish in his prayers, don't pray like him.
I wonder why many Christians today are magnifying poverty and associating poverty to the gospel of Christ.

When you read the Bible based on what you have been taught by those who are working by church tradition and human intelligence, who are already soaked with poverty mentality and who have been transferring poverty from one generation to another, then you can not see the truth about prosperity and once you don't know the truth, you will forever remain poor and majority of the  problem in the church today is simply associated with high level of poverty due to the ignorance and idleness of many Christians.

Some Bible reference on prosperity: Deuteronomy 8:18 But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which He sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.
Proverbs 10:18 The rich man's wealth is his strong city: the destruction of the poor is their poverty.
Ecclesiastes 5:19 Every man also to whom God hath given riches and wealth, and hath given him power to eat thereof, and to take his portion, and to rejoice in his labour; this is the gift of God.
3 John:2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

I can go on and on, there are many scriptures on prosperity but let's make do with these ones. Remain Blessed!
